Pure Sim Rules

The Track will be FULL for every race !!!!

If we decide on 1 track and limit active Nuffers for this series at 14... we will prequal before the race....

If we decide to accomodate more Nuffers by adding a second track... we won't have time to go through a prequal process so Nuffers will be PRE-ASSIGNED to the tracks by prior race results!!! .... Nuffers who finished 1st, 3rd, 5th :::odd numbers:: will be on track A the following week... while Nuffers in 2nd, 4th, 6th :::even numbers::: in the standings will be on Track B....similar to the Gatorade Duels... This will cut out the prequal process and everyone will already know where they belong ahead of time !!

There is still only 1 MAIN winner though... and the tracks will merge as ussual to generate the standings.

YA !! We've already tested this and it's GREAT !! So here's what will happen... if you are a VIP member but cannot make a race.... an AI ::puter:: car will race in your place... and whatever points that racer earns... you will earn.

If a VIP Member does not communicate and misses 2 races straight... we will go to the waiting list and move the next Nuffer in... Nuffers on the waiting list will be ranked by vote... if a spot opens.... the top ranked Nuffer on the waiting list will then recieve an invite to this series... if the Top Ranked is not available..or declines.. we move to the next Nuffer waiting...

TRACK HOST DISCONNECTS

During the First 65% of the race - Laps to be determined by the head Official on Race Day...

A Track Host is treated just like a regular Disconnect... meaning if a track Host loses connection during the first 1/2 of the race... he falls into the 25% rule...

if the track host is the first to lose connection... meaning all racers are still on the track when it shuts down...the track host is NOT eligible to return to the track and must wait until and if more Nuffers lose connection to cover Approx 25% of the field..

example 1.. Let's say there are 14 cars on the track at the beginning of the race.. there would have to be 4 racers (28%) who lost connection to allow the race to be restarted to include all those who DCed....

So..on lap 5 we lose a racer and agree it was a DC.. then on lap 15 we lose a second racer... then on lap 30 the Host loses connection... by rule... that is LESS then 25% so NONE of the 3 racers (including the host) would be eligible to come back... the track would be restarted with a new host...

example 2.. Let's say there are 10 cars on the track at the beginning of the race.. there would have to be 2-3 racers (20%-30%) who lost connection to allow the race to be restarted to include all those who DCed....

So..on lap 5 we lose a racer and agree it was a DC.. then on lap 15 then on lap 20 the Host loses connection... by rule... that falls into the 25% rule... so both racers... including the host would be eligible to come back.

During the Last 35% of the race - Laps to be determined by the head Official on Race Day...

It is already understood that there has to be a major catastrophy to restart any race during the final 35% of the race... this includes major lag damage or EA glitches... This DOES NOT INCLUDE a Track Shutdown because the host loses connection...

Under this rule... anyone who loses connection during the final 35% of the race are NOT ELIGIBLE to come back... in other words the 25% rule DOES NOT APPLY...

Therefore.. again.. treating the track host just like any other DC... the track host WOULD NOT be eligible to come back to the race once it is restarted...

However... the track Host.. along with all other racers who DCed in the race.. would be able to come back if there was a major catastrophy that warranted a race restart..

example.. Let's say there are 10 still racing at the end (last 35%) of the race.. if ANYONE loses connection... including the track host.. he/she is NOT ELIGIBLE to come back to the race.... even though the track is being recreated...

HOWEVER... if .. after the restart.. there is a major lag glitch or EA problem.. then all racers that had previously lost connection... including the previous track host.. would be eligible to return.

So bottom line... in all scenerios that include a track host losing connection... he/she is treated just like a regular DC... obviously meaning there would be a new track host during the restart of the race.

WHITE FLAG RACING WHEN RUNNING MANUAL CAUTIONS

When we run manual cautions.. we DO NOT have the option of green/white/checkered racing if there is a wreck with less then 3-5 laps to go..

Therefore... the Head Track Official will make an announcement based on the number of laps left and the racing enviroment.. as to when we will race the remainder of the race under white flag conditions... when this is called by the official... at that point.. ONLY THE HEAD OFFICIAL will be able to call a caution... which would freeze the field.

The Head Official will only considered calling a caution under white flag conditions if there is a wreck among the leaders racing for the win... however.. it remains the Head Official's decision to either continue the race or freeze the field by calling a caution.

If the wreck happens in the back of the field.. the race will probably stay green.. however again.. it is up to the Head Official.. who will make the decision based on how bad the wreck is and what type of track we are racing...

To Take Part -

YOU MUST BE VOTED IN BY YOUR PEERS.... If you are voted in... you become a VIP and a voter... you would have access to extra forums in this section only viewable by VIP members where the voting is done and decisions are made if we ALL decide to change something!!

To be clear... you can also be voted out.... but that would only occur if there is a concern that you are not being honorable.... only takes 1 time to act up... at that point.. dats dat !!!

You MUST run a custom car so as to not interfere with any AI car that may load into the race... if you do not have a custom car.. you will be allowed to select an INACTIVE "in-game" car... meaning the car is not owned by an Active Nascar Racer.

We will be running Veterans Setup .... NO ASSISTS ::::practice practice practice...lol!!!! The only adjustment that will be allowed will be steering lock adjustments for those who run controllers... Again we've already tested it and it's AWESOME.... VERY realistic !!

For now...you will be allowed to decide between automatic gearing or manual

But all other assists... including anti-lock brakes will be off !!

The Races are 50%  wear 2X and will run on Thursdays...
start time will be at 7 PM Est...

Just like real racing.... there is no practice on the actual race track... you will have to figure out your adjustments just like the real boys do... while racing !! you can create your own track before the race.. but once you are invited to the actual track... you must stay in da Pits...

During the race... you are allowed to Pit under caution and make adjustments....

We will do the automatic Black Flag rule here on solo spins... NOT because we suspect a flag was brought out on purpose... instead to really encourage patience and care.

We will qualify before racing... the Head Official will determine what setups yiou can use dureing prequals...

Again the honors system is important here... if you got voted in... you are thought to be honorable... if there is suspicion that you are not being honorable... right away.. you will come up for a vote to retain or release

SCORING:

We MERGE.. that's right... MERGE our results with the actual Nascar Race... with our race taking preference... meaning whoever wins our race... wins the whole daing thing.. and all who finish on the lead lap of our race.. moves ahead of all those that finish the Nascar race on the lead lap.. the remaining racers are then merged by laps completed... again with the NRL track taking priority over the Nascar Track.

There will only be ONE Racer who will earn the extra bonus points between BOTH Tracks.

We race on Thursday Nights at 7 PM Est.... you must be ready to go by roll call time... which will be 6:45 PM or we will replace you with an AI car...

From time to time... a racer may need to quit during the middle of a race.. though not encouraged.. that is understood and will be allowed under the following conditions...

1st time - Warning
2nd time - 50 point deduction
3rd time - 100 point deduction
4th time - Not eligible for track A spot the next race
5th time - Suspension

  1. If you inform the NRL Officials ahead of time that you may have to leave the race early and you've qualified for track A... you will NOT be assessed any of the penalties above however you will be relegated to track B so that another racer who plans to race the entire race has an opportunity on track A.

If you do NOT inform the NRL Officials ahead of time and you do have to leave... the legend above applies...

It is important that if you lose connection to the race... you notify an NRL official right away in support of investigating whether or not there was quit. If you do not notify an NRL Official with explanation.. you will leave it to us to decide whether we think a quit occurred.
