SPLIT TRACKS !!

Again you Nuffers continue to amaze!!! At least 14 Nuffers came out to each and every race last week!! What was so amazing about that was....where we raced... lol...  3 of 4 races were at .... noooo... not Daytona.... BRISTOL!! Not only that... but all races were very well ran by you guys... going into the Biggun on Saturday... we had LESS THAN 10 Cautions in all the previous races  COMBINED !!...  :::simply astounding!!::: Let's Get To it !!

Ammo have to go back and check recorded history but we may have witnessed the best week with 4 races in the history of the NRL by TheGift!! Oh yeah... TheGift had his "game face" on all week... posting top 5 finishes in the first 2 races...and then sweeping Bristol's Food City Challenges in both the Busch and Nextel Series!! He came really close to sweeping everything at Bristol... finishing 2nd in the Craftsman Series !! Get this....we ran 950 laps combined at Bristol and TheGift LED.....:::are you in your seat?::: 763 Laps !!!!! Over 80% COMBINED!!! The most amazing part of that stat is who he was racing against. Oh it wasn't just your normal...arcade racers who don't know anything bout racing... Uh uh.... 99% of the top names in the NRL were competing last week....and at least 5-7 Nuffers had similar cars in quality as the Gift in each race. It was just an incredible week for him.... HATS Off to ya Gift !!!!!!

It all started on Wednesday in the Craftsman's Series where 15 Nuffers came out which required the first of many prequal sessions throughout the week! The field included 4 of the top 5 Nuffers in the Craftsman Rankings... and 4 Nuffers racing Craftsman for the first time in the current series... which just completed it's 14th of 22 races!!!! HOT HOT HOT!!! TheGift started out his wonderful week by setting the Lap Record for Trucks at Bristol with a 15.178 sec prequal lap. That also gave him the pole. The O'Reilly Challenge took just over an hour to complete and as stated before....only had 4 cautions! 
  
On Track A....It was XCABLEMANX...ranked 12th in the Craftsman's Series... getting by 2nd ranked TheGift after the 4th and final caution of the race....and holding him off to get the WIN!! Cable led 28 laps and ran an extremely wise race throughout. While TheGift was able to stay out front for most of the race...Cable had to fight through a pack of big time racers with minimal damage... and was strong enough after the final caution to seal the victory !!! GREAT JOB CABLE !!!!!

The most devastating caution of the entire race was the first one.... devastating in that it didn't happen until the end of the first fuel run....meaning many Nuffers had gone in for their regular pit...but TheGift stayed out as long as he could...the caution...caused by a spin out of the pits...put most of the field on Track A 5 laps while The Leaders were able to Pit under caution. And with only 3 cautions occurring for the remainder of the race on Track A... you get the picture...lol. TheGift took second on Track A while 9th ranked UncleChucke finished a strong 3rd!!

Ova on Track B... UNRANKED Ultimateassin took the win...which earned him 10 extra bonus points. Finishing 7th overall, Ultimate's bonus points helped him earn 161 total points for the race...equivalent to a top 5 finish !! Great Job Ultimate !!! 14th ranked Kmack finished 2nd on track B while Kinghill...also racing his first Craftsman race...rounded off the top 3.

"It was a really great race on Track B. I was really amazed with all of the guys who really kept it clean and low amount of cautions for Bristol I think. Ultimate had a very good Truck. The last 55 laps were very interesting as the remaining racers had to depend on long lasting Goodyear tires and keeping a steady pace, the last caution came out at approximately lap 145. As Im Not Tellin was having a lot of trouble with tire issues all night and went several laps down with tires blowing, but he hung as tight in the race as he possibly could. Big Mike put out a good showing also as he got caught up in a couple wrecks that damaged his truck and made it slower. But running in this order until the last 5 laps were Ultimate, Kinghill, and Pitt with Kmack gaining on King and Pitt as they both had to slow down pushing their Trucks to much for their tires. First Kmack passed Pitt under 1 lap with 4 laps to go in the race, then Kmack quickly gained on Kinghill. Kinghill made it difficult for Kmack to pass until King finally realized Kmack had a faster Truck at the end. Ultimate was unstoppable all night and stayed out of all the wrecks and kept his Truck clean as well as Kmack. Great Job Ultimate and all the newcomers on the race!! It was great racing with all of them!"

Next up was the IROC-A-THON Series.... running race numba 10 of a whoppin 48 race regular season schedule to determine the top 20 Nuffers...who will go on to a 20 race Iroc Cup Chase!!

14 Nuffers came out for 81 Laps in COT Cars at Atlanta Motor Speedway...
again with resounding results. Track A ran CAUTION FREE...while Track B only had 3 cautions.....

Track A featured 2 unranked Nuffers running their first race of this series.... along with 3 of your top 5 IROC ranked Nuffers...Dale (2), IJeremy (3) and TheGift (5). But Track A belonged to Newcomer and unranked ROB724KD !!!

Rob led 33 laps...including the most important lap...DA LAST....lol. But to show just how competitive Track A was...Rob did not lead most laps...that honor went to unranked Ultimateassin...who fought control troubles and TheGift at the end to salvage a strong 2nd place finish while TheGift had his worst showing of the week....at 3rd place finish....lol. TheGift fought hard...coming back from a 10 second deficit over the last 20 laps to catch Ultimate for an exciting final lap. Ultimate was able to barely hold him off at the very end. So Rob continues a positive trend of New Nuffers racing very well in the NRL!! GREAT JOB Fellas...CONGRATS ROB724KD

Track B was also a very good race. As predicted in Mwils' Crystal Ball....Sir Abbotttazz....ranked #1 in the IROC Series... was the class of the field though.... just flying around the track!! Mwils1 was really the only one who was able to stay with Abbott. Abbott led from start to finish... das right...ALL 81 laps!! It was a cakewalk for Abbott. With Buster not showing...a no other Nuffer ranked higher than 10th on the track besides Mwils... This was an easy one to call..... Abbott just needed to stay out front and out of harms way...which he did. Mwils did finish 2nd while unranked newcomer Purity52 rounded off the top 3 on Track B. CONGRATS ABBOTT !!!!

On Friday and Saturday we returned to Bristol for the Food City 250 in the Nationwide Series and the Food City 500 in the Nextel Series.

SEVENTEEN.....countem...17 Nuffers came out for the Food City 250 on Friday Night!!!!!! WHAT?!?!?!?! NRL officials scrambled to run prequals to coordinate a 9 - 8 split. The prequals caused a slight delay but both tracks got under way after just a 20 minute delay. Special Thanks to NRL Prequal Admins...who assisted in running the prequals with great success !! You guys are AWESOME!! Ahhhhhhh.... so is that Crystal Ball of Mwils !!!   lol   ... YUP... TheGift was picked to take this one....and take this one HE DID !!!

TheGift, ranked 8th in this series... led 205 of the 250 laps on track A...and though he had serious competition...a similar fate to what happened in the Craftsman race.. happened here. The first caution did not come out on track A until most Nuffers had gone in for full pits. And just like Wednesday...TheGift stayed out as long as he could....lo and behold... just when TheGift announced that he was preparing to pit.....YUP... the caution came out.... ARRRGGHHHHH !!! So TheGift was able to get in under caution and that put most of his competition back 4-5 laps!! And again....just like Wednesday.... only 3 more cautions came out.... crazy !!! So when we need cautions.....they don't come out huh...lol... Great Job Gift !

Nuff Star DaleReynolds....racing his first Busch Race.... established himself right away....setting the Lap Record for Busch Cars at 15.056... and finished a strong 2nd place...racing wonderfully and kept pace with TheGift all night long !!! Dale led 36 laps of his own while 6th ranked BikeMike rounded off the top 3!! ::::told yawl to watch out for BigMike !!!!

Ova on Track B.... YET ANUDDA New Nuffer.... Purity52...racing his first NRL race... led 100 laps while posting a great victory. Now Here is the KICKA...Purity led 3 Track B racers into the TOP SIX of the final results  WOWOWOWOWOW !!! Das right...the top 3 on track B....Purity, UncleChucke and DueceyDu fiished 4-5-6 in the overall standings...ahead of 6 Track A Racers !! Track Merging at it's best FOSHO!

We Finished the week with the BIGGUN..... a rare Saturday Afternoon Race... the Food City 500.... UGHHH.... that's 500 laps around this tough Bristol Track.... I mean.... after running 450 laps combined earlier in the week on this "lil Monsta"... and with the mid-day race... surely we would not have to split tracks again.... LOL.... you already know the answer.... 15 More Nuffers came out!!!! So lesseee....15 on Wednesday...14 on Thursday...17 on Friday and 15 more on Saturday.... that's 61 racers during the week...::::silence::::lol

The Prequals saw some very impressive lap times....with 4 Nuffers posting sub 15 second lap times. You had to beat a 15.100 to make Track A!!!!!  OMG !! Ahh...but this time....Mwils lobbied the entire field and established some pre-race strategy to possibly merge the track after 200 laps. "I remember what happened last time we were at Bristol" said Mwils... referring to the last Nextel Series race at Bristol... when 1 Nuffer took out half the field early and only 3 resilient Nuffers were left to race over 300 laps by themselves!!! OH NO...Mwils was not interested in that happening again...and with the support of the majority of the field......decided to run the first 200 laps...then call a competition yellow... and through attrition...merge the tracks for the final 300 laps...with Track B racers still eligible for Track B rewards. Well... out of the 15 Nuffers that started the race...13 were still around after the first 200 laps...LOL... A good problem to have but still a problem. Could we get 13 on a short track??? Well...we decided to move forward with the original plan...and were able to keep 12 of the 13 when the green flag dropped for the remaining 300 laps. Only losing Kmack at the start...Mwils had to make a tough decision to move forward...treating Kmack under the DC rule. Of course Kmack wasn't too happy about the decision and Smacked Mwils with some harsh words....LOL... Mwils understood but could only offer one reply...."GITCHO Connection Fixed Dawg".....lol. Unfortunately...Kmack has been strugglin with his connection quite a bit lately...even losing connection during the first half of this one on Track B...and with Kmack fighting Im Not Tellin for the final Chase Slot....Oh this was a toughie for Mwils. Well...allzz well that endzz well huh...Kmack still took over the 12th and final slot for the Chase!!

Now on to the race !!! Now this one had plenty more cautions.... which really benefitted those on Track B after the merger. To be clear...Track A has a 5 lap grace over Track B as reward for making Track A during the prequals. Without the Merger...there was no way for Track B to make up the 5 laps other then the final results of track A. Well with the merger...Track B racers were able make up the handicap...1 caution at a time...lol.

But First...the Winna.... Bringing out the Broom....TheGift PREVIOUSLY ranked 3rd in the Nextel Series...really dominated...leading a whopping 393 of the 500 laps. TheGift proved he didn't need the "Gift" he received in Friday's race...when his foes got trapped multiple laps down from the first caution. Nope...in this one...there were plenty of cautions...keeping many Nuffers on the lead lap. Nevertheless....Like Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps.....TheGift simply put a serious STAMP on the past week.... And OH...by the way...He also set the Lap record for COT rides at 14.808!! GREAT WEEK Gift and CONGRATS !!!

And how bout Big Mike Racing?!?!? Ranked 10th in the Nextel Series.... Big Mike started 14th and on Track B ... and finished 2nd and on the lead lap. UNBELIEVABLE !! Mike..... that's some great racing !!! I mean...check it...he had to make up at least 5 laps after the merger...and pass 12 Nuffers overall to post this amazing finish!! Great Job
